When I posted asking you for your questions, I promised I would respond to them. This week I will answer 5 of the questions I received in emails and comments.

It was great question asking me where my inspiration comes from. It comes from many areas of life, like I am sure yours does as well.

My Mom and Dad are a huge point of inspiration to me. They believe in me and love me unconditional. They remind me that no matter how old I get, I was always be their baby. It is nice to be humbled and reminded that you still need your mom and dad and that there is someone you can turn to in times of need. Both of them show me how to be a better person in many ways. They know me even better than myself sometimes.

Justin inspires me as well. He, a lot of times, has saved me from myself. He also knows me well and puts up with me. Not so much put ups with me, but loves me for who I am. He shows me how if you just love someone so much that can be enough to grow and develop together. He helps me to live my life out loud more and more. Justin has helped me to see the world in different ways. Justin truly made me believe in love.

My friends inspire so much. They say you attract who you are and I notice that with my friends. They are a direct reflection of myself in many ways. I learn from them on how to grow and that I am not alone or a freak. My friends aren’t afraid to hold up a mirror to show me the real me. They accept me without judgement and allow me to be me. We understand each other and help each other through the rough times and laugh until it hurts through all the rest.

People inspire me. All of you who read this blog, send me emails and comments, people I meet on the street, people who share their stories with me, people who help me out, people who show me courtesy and trust and people who open up their hearts. Making a difference is so important to me and people allow me to do that each day. People remind me how great we can be and people remind me how much they need someone to inspire them to keep on smiling, laughing and living their own lives.

Lastly, I inspire myself. I know it sounds conceited but it is true. I inspire myself by celebrating my successes, seeing how far I have come and accepting who I am.

One of my favorite quotes is from Sex and the City:

“…the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself.”

That is why I inspire myself. I realize it all starts with me and I have to make the choices, changes and take the actions to make my life great. I am lucky to have tons of people who love me, support me, cheer me on and catch me when I fall. They just can’t live my life for me, I have to do it and I will not disappoint them.

What a great list of sources of inspiration. I really like the part about inspiring yourself and the quote you gave. You spend the most time with yourself, so understandably you want to be able to draw inspiration from yourself. Thank you yet again for giving me something to reflect on today!

i loved this post! my favorite part too is how you inspire yourself. it’s not conceited, it’s selfish. That’s a GOOD THING (read Ayn Rand)!
side note: i think you are so fun and an inspiration on the web. i want to see you take this global. start with youtube? podcasts?

    Catherine,

I am considering YouTube and Podcasts this year. :) I am moving this forward and a lot of people have been supporting me in that movement. I am glad you are one of them!
