This past weekend a guy asked me, “What you do for work?” With enthusiasm I said, “I am a life coach.”
“I don’t believe in coaching” he responded. “It is OK. I don’t believe in you.” I said.
He looked at me puzzled and said, “There is nothing to believing in me because I am standing right here.”
I said, “I know and so am as a life coach. The only difference is when I believe in you as your coach, you will never have to think about people believing in you. Because you will truly believe in yourself.”

Apparently he didn’t understand that there is a difference in “seeing” someone and “believing in” someone. Sometimes you just can’t reach others.
As my idol, Judge Judy often says: “There is none so blind as he who refuses to see”

Bishop,
That is a great quote! It is true!
Sometimes we don’t want to see what is in front of us because we are not ready to accept it. That still does not give us a right to pretend it doesn’t exsist.

I am reminded of a Bible verse…. “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:24 Sometimes it’s hard to forge ahead, sometimes it’s just too hard to step out of our comfort zone but we must. Bishop’s cooment reminded me of a great song from the 1970’s….
Everything Is Beautiful – Ray Stevens
Jesus loves the little children,
All the little children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in his sight.
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
Everything is beautiful in its own way.
Like the starry summer night, or a snow-covered winter’s day.
And everybody’s beautiful in their own way.
Under God’s heaven, the world’s gonna find the way.
There is none so blind as he who will not see.
We must not close our minds; we must let our thoughts be free.
For every hour that passes by, we know the world gets a little bit older.
It’s time to realize that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
And everything is beautiful in its own way.
Like the starry summer night, or a snow-covered winter’s day.
Oh, sing it children!
Everybody’s beautiful in their own way.
Under God’s heaven, the world’s gonna find the way.
We shouldn’t care about the length of his hair, or the color of his skin.
Don’t worry about what shows from without, but the love that lives within.
And we’re gonna get it all together now; everything gonna work out fine.
Just take a little time to look on the good side my friend,
And straighten it out in your mind.

I’m always shocked by how you reply to comments that people you meet make. Your responses have such a strong point behind them without being too harsh either. I don’t think this person got your point, but, maybe someday he will. Did I get your point? Lol

Fred,
I am just being me.
My intention is never to educate or offend anyone. My goal is only to share my perspective and hopefully, make a difference in their lives or help them make a difference in someone else’s life.
