We woke up at 5:20 in the morning and we headed down to Epcot to run our first 5K. Becky and I were honest with each other, if we hadn’t have spent the night together we would have never made it up that early in the cold to participate in the race.

We travelled down to Epcot and waited in the warmth of the car until Traci arrived. We then headed to the race to line up all before the sun had began to rise.

Waiting for the race was killing me but at 7am it finally started. It was so exciting and we started our run through the parking lot. Becky and Traci started their runs and I am started my walk. :)

The parking lot lasted for the first mile and it killed me. So boring!! But after mile one we were finally in the park! That went by very fast and having people cheering really helps. I will say it doesn’t help to say, “Only 2 miles to go!” It makes you see how much longer it is. Just say good job and let it be. :)

The fun part was listening to people yelling at each other and wanting to quit. Not because they wanted to quit because their friends or family would encourage them and keep them going. We all would jump in and support them. You were all part of this experience and it was a great feeling!

As I was just completing mile 3 I could hear the music and I knew I was almost at the finished line. I was so excited!

People are cheering and they are taking tons of pictures and you cross the finish line and they put the medal around your neck! So much fun!

It was great because Becky and Traci were there to greet me and we celebrated! We did it together!

What did we do next? We went out to breakfast to eat up! Of course after that, I was headed to bed for a 3 hour nap.

One more thing crossed off my life list and I am so glad I was able to share it with my friends!
