I love movies and I am always looking for another great film to see. I am always sharing my movie reviews with my friends and encouraging them to see movies I feel are “Must Sees”.
One of my favorite movies that I feel a lot of people have not seen is Muriel’s Wedding.
.
This is a great comedy that will touch your heart. It is about a girl who just wants to fit in. She spends her time trying to be accepted and proving she is not the loser she once was but she learns life is a lot more than pretending, it is about living.
You will laugh and maybe even cry like I do when you watch one of my favorite movies.
I know there are a lot of you reading this post, so take a moment and share your favorite movie with us. I am always looking to see new movies and learn more about all of you!

Hi Michael!
That is a great movie – just a nice little “feel-good-and-pick-me-up” kinda film.
One of my favorite films is “Stonewall”. Its a fictional account of events leading up to the actual Stonewall riots in New York. It makes me want to stand up as a gay man and fight back against the homophobic injustice in this world. Its about a country-boy who moves to New York seeking acceptance and finds that homophobia is everywhere. Through a series of events he learns to find the dignity within himself to be proud of who he is and refuse to be shunned by society. Its VERY well made with solid character acting and cinematography – and the soundtrack is killer! Although the film does get extremely intense and down-right depressing at times, it ends on a high note that leaves the viewer feeling empowered.
Give it a chance – its worth it!

One of my favorite “oldies but goodies” is How Stella Got Her Groove Back. It too has an uplifting message about embracing the confidence in ones self. Plus Whoopi Goldberg and Angela Bassett are excellent actors in it.

Dale,
That is a great pick of a movie. I really enjoy that movie as well. I love the idea of going away with a friend to start living again. Great one!

I really enjoyed Juno. I just saw it for the first time last night, and I got very emotional. I watch very few movies that really lead me to tears, but Juno did. It is no wonder that it got so many nominations. I will have to watch Muriel’s Wedding again soon in your honor.

Hi Michael
I recently watched “The Bucket List” in which Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson are both diagnosed with terminal illness, living against the clock trying to fit in all the things they never got around to. I laughed and I cried and I recommitted to making the most of every day and every moment.
I’ve never seen Muriel’s Wedding but from your description I think it’ll be on the menu in our house this weekend.

Jenni,
That movie is on my list. It should come in the mail soon. I am huge supporter of life lists and always encourage my coaching clients to start one. After your comments, I am looking forward to seeing it.
I am glad you are going to check out Muriel’s Wedding. I think you will like it a lot.
