I was lucky enough to enjoy the wonderful Florida weather and go with my parents and sister to Disney’s Magic Kingdom to see the newly holiday lit castle. I had a great time with my family and I am very lucky to get to enjoy these events.

Before we headed to Magic Kingdom, we had dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. During our meal, we colored Disney character coloring sheets and My sister and I hung up our artwork with Mickey stickers. The host at the front gave me at least 10 stickers of which we only used 4. I stuck the rest in my bag and thought maybe I would see a kid to give them too.
Well as we were leaving the park, we had to wait in line to purchase a family photo we had taken. I noticed in front of me was a family with a little girl dresses as Belle who had made friends with another little girl with a Jasmine doll. They sat on the floor and played together. Another little girl showed up and happened to be the sister of the girl in the Belle dress. She gave her sister a Mickey sticker she got from someone that worked in the park and now both sisters had the stickers on. The other little girl with the Jasmine doll said how cute the sticker was but of course did not have one.
I remembered that I happened to have the exact same stickers in my bag, so I reached in and gave the girl on of the stickers. She lit up and said, “Thank you so much Mister.”
That “Thank you” meant so much to me. She was OK that she didn’t get a sticker like the other girls but she really wanted one and to belong. When I gave it to her, she was so excited and so happy it was all worth it. How simple was that of me to just keep the extra stickers in case.
Think about all the times you could do something so simple that would make somebody’s day, or week, or maybe even their month. This is the holiday season when we are supposed to be extra giving. Why don’t you just try and see what you can do to make somebody’s day today.
