My mom sent this to and it made me laugh!

“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.” - Herm Albright, (1876-1944)

I so agree to this! I know this works great especially at work. You can make a game of it. Whenever I am in a meeting or around people who are so negative and just want to complain and make excuses, I start being the most positive I can. Always seeing the other perspective and ways to offer solutions.

It does 2 great things for me:

1. It makes me valuable. People come to me when they are feeling down or negative because they want to brainstorm ways to get out of it. Which also means, they help me whenever I need some support.

2. It annoys negative people to death which means they do not want to be around me. This reduces the amount of people I have to listen to moan about their lives and how much they dislike other people.

I like to be around people who are fun and full of life. People are wanting to be the best that they can be. Just motivates me even more!

So, what do you do when your entire office if full of people that are negative? Practice WWII isolationism? I swear, I work in an office of people that would blow up if they didn’t have some sort of mental break down on a daily basis. I just laugh all day. I think it’s absolutely hilarious. Occassionally, though, when my life is in the dumps, they affect me. Then, I’ll lose it. Such is life sometimes.

BTW - I’m addicted to your blog.

I know it is hard to be around tons of negative people. I worked in that environment as well once. I have no doubt you are handling it well and this experience will help you grow and see why negativity gets you no where. :)

I so glad you are addicted!! This Friday I am adding something “new” to the blog which I hope feeds your “healthy” addiction! :)
