With the whole kidney stone drama, I was drinking a lot of water. A LOT. Almost 3 to 4 quarts a day. This of course resulted me having to use the restroom even more.

I do not know if I have ever shared the fact I do not like to use public restrooms. It took me many years to stop waiting until I got home from work and would use the restroom in the office. It took me even longer to use the restrooms in restaurants, theme parks and at concerts. I learned it wasn’t healthy PLUS I couldn’t wait that long to pee anymore.

But since I was forced to use the restroom even more with my increased drinking I started to noticed something that really freaks me out in restrooms, people talking to you.

Now it is one thing to go in with a friend you know and talk a little. BUT, I hate when you are in there and someone you barely know or even a stranger decides to start talking to you.

I have always been the type of person that people randomly talk to all the time. I do not mind, I actually love it but not in the restroom. It just freaks me out. Maybe not so much freaks me out but stops me from peeing. I have to admit, I am pee shy. YES, Michael Moniz is pee shy. So talking to me stops me from being able to do exactly what I needed to do while I am in there.

I noticed this recently because drinking so much means my bladder is screaming to be emptied and I get stuck having a conversation and pretending to go so they will leave and I can get some relief. Maybe I just need to stick to the stalls.

Depends on what they say to you while at the Urinal, like “WOW THAT IS A BIG ONE!!!”
At least they don’t turn and pee on your shoe! (flip flop)
I am also pretty pee shy, what really bothers me is those huge troughs were it is just a big community place to pee. I really do prefer a divider wall. I like your idea of using the stalls.
    Thanks again for sharing!
    Always-

    Brad,

It is so true! If they do mention how LARGE you are then maybe I would use the urinal more often and the fear would go away. :)

I once went to a bathroom where it was just a giant water fall everyone stood and peed on. I couldn’t do it. I just couldn’t make myself.

    Dorothy,

You can imagine how weird it is to walk in and see it and there are looking at you like it is normal and you are supposed to just join in on the party. I just could not do it!!
