I know. It is so bad! But sometimes I can not help myself.

I do not know if it because I turned 30 or maybe from writing this book, but for some reason I have been looking for people from my past. Their names come to me as I write so I just want to know what they are doing or more importantly, how they are doing.

People come in and go throughout our lives. Just how it happens changes. You change jobs, move, make new friends, grow apart or fight over something silly but, for some reason, it just ends the friendship.

I do not want to say ends but maybe pauses it. Sure you are different people now and may have nothing in common anymore but it is nice to know they are doing great. You still share memories with each other and you spent time in each other lives for a period time.

Is it worth it? Who knows. I just want people to know I have forgotten them and deep down, I hope they haven’t forgotten me. Maybe we will never be in each other lives again or maybe we will.

Hey! At least we have MySpace! :)

    Michael-
I have been finding friends from my past on facebook! I even found someone that I knew before 2nd grade, we were in Indian Guides together. A father and son organization, giving our dads excuses to act like kids again. LOL
My friend and I had kept in touch through the years and even became close in high school even though we didn’t go to the same school. We kinda lost touch when I moved to Seattle, even though I did visit him once when I was back in Michigan. I was living my life and he was living his and we seemed to have lost touch. I was really excited to have my friend back! :-)
It is great to catch up and remember the fun we used to have fun as kids. Playing smash up derby with the canoes at Indian Guides camp. Ice fishing and being miserable! It is also nice to know that according to the song “make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold”
    I have a golden friend! :-)
    Take Care-
    Brad

    Brad,

I am so glad to hear you are connecting with friends again. They hold a special place in your heart and there is nothing wrong with reconnecting. :)

I think everyone does that, lol. It’s right up there with googling yourself. Plus, don’t you want to know what everyone is up to before you head out to you’re reunion? :]
