Isn’t funny how you love a three day weekend because you get that extra day off BUT when you return to work the next day, it still feels like a Monday!

Here are 5 reasons to be excited about today and survive your Labor Day Hangover:

  1. Lunch Recap Party – Nothing makes the day fly by then taking a extended lunch with friends to catch up all everyone’s 3 day weekend. Better yet, if you spent it together you can remind everyone of the naughty things they did.
  2. 4 day week - It maybe feel like a Monday BUT it is Tuesday and that means it is a short week. Before you know it, the weekend is here again!
  3. Get Focused – The 3 day weekend is over and it is time to revisit your goals and get enthused about the week. Take a few moments to review what you are working towards and why you are back at work this week. When you have a goal, it makes it easier to work each day to achieve your vision.
  4. Balance your Day – Just because the weekend is over doesn’t mean you can not still have fun! Make sure your day is balanced with working, taking breaks and laughing. Work doesn’t have to be boring. We can always find ways to make our days more enjoyable.
  5. Self Reflect – What made the weekend so special? Was it freedom? Was it more time for yourself? Did you get to do fun things? Spend more time with friends or family? Whatever it was that made the weekend great can be added to your regular life! Why wait for a 3 day weekend to have fun or have time for yourself? Think about how you can create that exact feeling again during each week so you can enjoy life more.

    Definitely good tips! I have that sinking and dragging Monday feeling, but when tomorrow is “Hump Day” already, maybe things will be much better!
