Brad

Once again thanks for sharing your personal story. You were in rough times and you survived the best way you knew how. Good for you. We only know what we would do until we are there. Even in the moment we have to make choices based on the present.

I was 19 when I had them removed. It was pretty bad. I had sour throats ALL the time. They would swell shut so it was time to get them removed. My health improved greatly when they were removed.

Michael- how old were you when you had your tonsils removed?

I don't normally answer your "if" questions on here
But I am sharing-
I was homeless when I was 17 because I had ran away from home and ended up in CA and then my friend John wanted to go back to NOLA (that is where he lived). My family flew me back to Michigan, where the family structure was challenged. I ended up hitchhiking down towards NOLA but ended up in Toledo Ohio. I stayed with some friends so I could finish up my junior school year, and then I was supposed to be gone. I had nowhere to go but this family I stayed with had a second house where they had a business and a treehouse in the back yard. I ended up living in that treehouse for 2 months. I was afraid of heights and I really hated climbing up that rope. :-(
I ended up "hooking up" so I could shower and shave. I was not smart enough to become an escort. I was giving it away for free.

Great answers!! I love them. I think it is best to just answer them as well. Just go with your natural instincts.

Without over-thinking the ins and outs of the answers, these are my responses...

If you had to name the most terrifying moment of your life so far, what would it be?
Not one I want to relive - when I was 24, had just come out to my parents, and had a breakdown. I was by myself, in my home at the time, and could not control my life any longer.
Luckily my parents came round straight away, and cared for me over the next year, while I recovered somewhat. It was a time of great change for us all.

If you had to be homeless for one year, where would you want to be?
Living simply in a warm place overlooking the sea.

If you could have one street or square or park in any city or town renamed after you, which one would you select and exactly what would the name be?
A small community garden in San Francisco. The city where I regained much of my self when visiting a few years ago.

If you could be guaranteed one thing in life besides money, what would you ask for?
Good health.
