Get Moving

Posted In: Coaching by Michael

I noticed that after a long day, I come home and sit in front of the TV watching reruns of Friends and Family Guy. I get something fast to eat and stuff myself on the couch while watching shows I have seen a hundred times.

I notice that I am not feeling well, I am tired a lot and I tend to find myself being bored. Being bored is not a healthy thing to have in your life. There are tons of things I could be doing.

So I had to stop myself. I had to make the choice to come home and move around at least for 40 minutes each day.

These 40 minutes can be used for:

  • A nice walk outside
  • Using my indoor bike while listening to music
  • Deep cleaning one of the rooms in the house
  • Finishing up some yard work
  • Completing a random craft project
  • Shopping for food and supplies for the house
  • Cleaning out closets and attic space

The list could go on and on but the point is for 40 minutes each day I have to get moving. I can not just be lazy and waste my time when I get home. I want to make sure I do something productive each day for 40 minutes. Think of what you could do with your life if you just made a commitment to 40 minutes a day of your time.
