For the month of October, Robert and I frequent Halloween Horror Nights. We get a great deal on a pass which allows us to come many times. We both love HHN and enjoy the haunted houses, shows, and scare zones. The people watching is just as entertaining as the attractions. Plus we can always make time for a short ride on Jaws.

When we went a few nights ago, I passed by a booth which was selling fried oreos. I mentioned to Robert that I have never had them before. I stopped and purchased a water and a basket of fried oreos.

We headed to watch the Rocky Horror Tribute Show and I was in bliss. Not only did I get to see Rocky Horror again, (I think Robert and I have seen the show more than 10 times this year) I got to enjoy an amazing new treat! I think frying oreos actually adds nutrition to them!

As we left Rocky Horror, Robert wondered “How could fried oreos and Rocky Horror make us so happy?”

I really believe it is the simple things that make life fun and meaningful. Sure it was a show we have seen so many times. Sure it is a snack we could have anytime. But, it was the time together that really makes it special. It is the new memories we are creating. It is the time we devote to ourselves to have fun, laugh and enjoy our day.

Plus eating a fried sugary treat while watching half naked dancers grind on stage never hurts…

Of all the things at Universal, the thing I cherish more then Fried Oreos, Frozen Lemonade, Snow cones, Haunted Houses, Even Pelvic Thrusts…. Is the time I get to spend there with my friend Michael….. all the rest.. No comparison to our time together… Thanks

Fried Oreos are epic! I am glad you take the time to enjoy the little things and make memories, truly savoring the experience and making the most of every situation. I am glad you also take the time out of your busy day to practice leisure and find enjoyment, and still keep in touch with all your friends at the same time! Thank you for being a great inspiration to me every day. I really enjoy your blog!

Fried Oreos are the only things that make me long for a carnival…but then the reality of the sketchy staff is a solid deterrent (and I’m too frugal for HHN). Perhaps I’ll open a store that sells those kinds of treats so everyone can enjoy them year round!

    Glad you had fun!
