Don't they have something bigger to worry about? Its sad to think that Dennis and I spent all that money, time, and planning for a wedding that isn't even legally recognized. Don't get me wrong, I don't need a little piece of paper (marriage certificate) to validate our love. However, it would be nice if we could file taxes as a married couple. It would be nice to know that in the event that something would happen to one of us the other would be protected. They can complain all they want.
