Hi Michael,
I just can’t understand with the economic crisis, the war, unemployment, inflation, etc. why some people seem to think the big threat to our society and country is whether or not you and I can legally marry our partners. Don’t they have something bigger to worry about?
Its sad to think that Dennis and I spent all that money, time, and planning for a wedding that isn’t even legally recognized. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t need a little piece of paper (marriage certificate) to validate our love. However, it would be nice if we could file taxes as a married couple. It would be nice to know that in the event that something would happen to one of us the other would be protected.
They can complain all they want. Our love is real and lasting, whether they like it or not.
