On Monday, a group of my friends and I did a gift exchange. It was a simple plan. You drew a name of one of us and you were our secret Valentine. You were only allowed to spend 5 dollars BUT because we were doing it on Monday, you could take advantage of all the Valentine’s day sales!
We gathered together for a light breakfast and talked about our weekends and our plans. We then exchanged our gifts and laughed at the wonderful things we were able to find and it helped bring joy to the beginning of the week.
We had so much fun we are thinking about trying to do something for most of the major holidays.
It did not cost us a lot but we got to spend time together laughing, sharing and enjoying the holidays. We forget sometimes to take the time to chat with friends and celebrate life.
