200805262314.jpg Justin and I went to brunch yesterday morning. While we are at the restaurant he decides he wants to have Celery flavored soda to drink. Of course I can not imagine why anyone would ever want to drink this.

I give him a look and ask why would you want to drink that? He replies,”Why not?”

That is something that is great about Justin. He is always willing to try new things. He rarely ever gets the same thing to eat (except at Starbucks where he gets his venti iced white mocha no whip with an extra shot) or drives the same way home. He loves to explore and see new things. He was excited to drive on the new strip of a local highway and he loves to drive through new neighborhoods.

It is all about being open to opportunities. He isn’t afraid to try new things because he knows if he doesn’t like it, he can get something else. He isn’t afraid of the what ifs or of change. He embraces it and always finds new things he loves.

What if we, just once a week, chose to live outside our box? What would we discover, what new favorites would be found, and what new adventures would be able to share?

After brunch, I asked Justin what did he think of his soda and he said it was good. Not sure he would get it again but he was glad to try it. Then he stopped walking and looked at me all excited and said, “This should so be a blog entry!”

That is so true. There is so much to life. There is so much to experience- openness to what’s right in front of us and around us is such an enjoyable way to be. Great blog entry… as always. :) Have a nice day.
