(If you were unable to make the call, you can still register to receive the recording.)

I talked about this great site to visit which can inspire your life list. It is called 43things

I also gave you a few prompts to get you started on your own life list. You can find them all on the recording BUT here is another resource I created to help you jump start your list.

And I Answered…

I had mentioned a few weeks I was very excited about a new opportunity. It had been a goal of mine on my vision board and I was excited to have the opportunity be knocking at my door…

Well, I am glad to be able to let you know, I answered the door!

Starting this Saturday I will offically be a trainer with International Coach Academy helping other coaches develop their own style and receive their professional certification.

I am so excited to be able to use my training background with my coaching expereince. I attended ICA so it is great to be able to give back to the community that helped me become a better coach.

Another item off my life list. Another item off my vision board. When you are truly passionate and committed to a goal, you can make it happen.

What goal are you going to go after?

Life List: Gatorland

I have always wanted to go to Florida’s first theme park, Gatorland. When I was 10 I had the chance to finally go but on the way we stopped for a quick minute to look at models for new condos being built. 8 hours later, my Uncle and Aunt bought a condo and I still hadn’t seen a gator…

It has been almost 20 years since then and I am still waiting for someone to take me to Gatorland. I decided it was time to take myself! Gatorland was bigger than I expected. The park takes about 4 to 5 hours to see everyting and there was enough to fill an afternoon.

Justin and I were able to feed hot dogs to gators as they swam by. It was a lot of fun until they started really catching the food. It was like out of a movie and you could see how powerful they really are. We saw a show where they feed chickens (not live ones) to the alligators to show you how high they can jump. Another scary sight especially when you live in Florida.

We were able to take a small train ride around the park and learn its history. We also got a great view of other gators and crocs along the back of the park. As you get off and on the train, they have a nice sign to remind you not to bump your head.

Lastly, we saw the gator wrestling show and I was lucky enough to jump in the ring and catch one myself…

…OK maybe I just got to pose on one but it is a real live alligator. I was a little nervous but it was the highlight of the how experience.

This may have been a small item on my life list but one that I have wanted for many years. It was a great feeling to be able to cross it off.

Life List – Orlando Science Center

My coach (yes as a coach, I have to have my own coach as well) mentioned how I haven’t been working on my life list lately. This is true so I had to get myself to look back on it and Justin and I completed another thing off my list. We went to the Orlando Science Center.

As a kid in Orlando, I had been on many fields trips to the OLD science center but since it was completely redone, I had not been and have been wanting to.

The beautiful new Orlando Science Center has a living Florida wetlands in the bottom level where you can see turtles and alligators swimming and laying around. Next to it is a small coral reef with all kinds of fish.

We went on the Titanic Ship of Dreams tour where they showed us tons of real life objects from Titanic and told us facts from the ship. At the end, they leave you with the sad stories of people who did not make it and how the ship sank. Of course, I got teary eyed thinking about how scared those people must have been.

They had exhibits about Dinosaurs and the Giant planets in our solar system. The last exhibit was a walk through of Norman Rockwell’s work. They had a lot of his work made into 3D stand ups. They ended with a room with every single cover he ever did.

It was a fun day and another item was crossed of my life list. Maybe not a HUGE item but still creating more meaning in my life and an experience I will remember. I can now say I have been.

What have you done off your life list lately?

Life List: Aura Picture

I have always wanted to get a picture taken that shows your aura. I finally was able to do that yesterday. Jeff from Aura Pix took my picture and explained my aura to me.

regular

As you can see, my picture is orange and red but my prominent color is yellow. This is what they say about yellows:

“Yellows are the most fun-loving, free spirited, energetic, and childlike personalities in the aura spectrum. Yellows are wonderful, sensitive, optimistic beings, whose life purpose is to bring joy to people, to have fun, and to help heal the planet.

Yellows can either be very shy and sensitive, or they can be the life of the party. These playful characters have a great sense of humor. They love to laugh and to make others laugh. Yellows believe life is to be enjoyed. They like to live life freely and spontaneously. With a perpetual smile on their face, they remind people to not take themselves or their problems too seriously.

Yellows would prefer not to work at all, unless their work was fun, playful, or creative. They love nature, and often have concerns for the survival of wildlife and the environment. Dogs are very drawn to Yellows and often become their best friends.”

How cool is that?

Well another thing crossed off my life list and learned a little more about myself.

Life List – Word in Dictionary (Sort of)

I was able to cross another item off my life list this week. I got this item from the book, 101 Things to do Before You Die. I love this book because it gives you tons of items to add to your life list and try to complete in your lifetime.

I was checking it out this week and noticed one of the items is to get a word published in the dictionary. I know I make up a lot of words but they do not always belong in the dictionary. My words and phrases tend to be more pop culture references. And made up and used by me. J

So I took some time to research and found an Urban Dictionary for slang terms. I submitted a word and guess what? They published it! You can go and rate my word and if it gets enough positive ratings it will be published in their yearly Urban Dictionary. How cool is that? I am considering this a win!

So what is the word?

She-She-La-La

Meaning that something is very sophisticated, chic, and/or cool. Used in describing places such as restaurants, hotels, parties, etc.

“We are going to try that new restaurant downtown. I heard it is VERY She-She-La-La so make sure to dress nice.”

Aren’t I crazy? Well I am just living life out loud!

Life List – Dine with Shamu

Going to Sea World this weekend allowed me to be able to cross another item off my Life List.

I have always wanted to go to the Dine with Shamu experience. Basically you get to have dinner behind the scenes of the Shamu show while you get a close up interaction with Shamu and the trainers.

 Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

They talk about how they train the killer whales with positive reinforcement and build relationships with them. The trainers then come around the table signing autographs and answering any questions you have about training and the show.

I had a great time not only because the experience was fun but because I had a great sense of accomplishment. For years I thought about going but always didn’t make the time. Now I can cross it off my list and say I did it! Plus, it allows me to start thinking of what is next…

To Swim or Not To Swim

I have been excited about the opportunity to actually swim in the Seas with Nemo and Friends aquarium at Epcot. If you have ever been to Epcot and visited the pavilion, it is HUGE tank which can actually fit Spaceship Earth inside of it.

I love aquariums and fish and when I heard about the Seas Aqua Tour, I was so excited to sign up. I can not wait to not only get a backstage tour but then get to jump in and swim away.

I have shared my interest in this activity with many of my friends who immediately say no, they wouldn’t do it. Why won’t they do it? Because there are sharks swimming with you in the huge tank. Of course they are over fed and there are not many of them but they are still too scared to go. What if they panic while in the water…

This of course got my self doubt going wondering what will I do. So far I am not scared and I am thrilled to do it. They put tons of people in there all the time so I doubt there is a risk but what if? What if there is no risk but I do panic and freak out!!

I spend my life wondering about all the what ifs and never take the plunge which leads to me missing out on the opportunity. There are tons of what ifs, some saying no and some saying what if you don’t do it. So I have to make a choice, is it worth it to me?

No one will know what will happen until I jump in. Taking action is the only think I need to do. So I am moving forward with my plan and I am jumping in. I do not want to look back and wish I had and hate that I didn’t because I allowed others create doubt in my mind.

Anyone care to join me for a swim?

The Blue Man Group

Last night I was able to cross an item off my life list, I got to see the Blue Man Group. My friend Robert decided it would be a great way to celebrate his birthday. I loved the idea and had a great time.

The Blue Man Group wasn’t what I expected but it was a fun show. There is a lot of audience interaction and the Blue Man are quite talented. I am glad I was able to see it finally.

The show also has some social awareness element about our world. They talked about how we go to Internet coffee shops to sit inches from tons of people we never talk to while we communicate on laptops or phones to people who are not even there.

I thought it was a great issue to present in the show and really allow people to self reflect on their daily lives. I know it made me think.

Not only is it a Happy Birthday for Robert but it was a great time at Blue Man Group and another life list item crossed off!!

PS. I Love You

Have you read PS. I love you? I just finished the book last night and I have to tell you, it is a great read!

The story is about Holly who loses the love of her life and best friend, her husband Jerry to a brain tumor shortly before her 30th birthday. He always joked with her that if he left her, he would have to leave her a list to help her live. After his death, she receives a package which happens to be just that, 10 envelopes that are to be opened once a month with specific directions on what she is to do to live her life. Of course, each letter ends with a simple, PS I love you.

The story made me laugh as well as cry. It reminds you what love, friendship and family is all about. It makes you think about your own life and how you can live it more.

Take some time out and pick up this great read. Why don’t you and friends read the book and then go see the movie which comes out on Dec 21st. You can always talk to me about it. :)
