Life List Guided Journal

After the great call on Thursday, I wanted to follow up with a few resources.

(If you were unable to make the call, you can still register to receive the recording.)

I talked about this great site to visit which can inspire your life list. It is called 43things

I also gave you a few prompts to get you started on your own life list. You can find them all on the recording BUT here is another resource I created to help you jump start your list.

The Life Life Guided Journal

There are TONS of prompts through out this book you can use to help you add even more to your list and get your mind pumping!! This is my gift to you all to start off the New Year!

If you ever need support on starting or moving forward with your life list, drop me a message.  I am here.

On my blog I share tons of tips and tools but also my own life list achievements. Take a look at these 4:

There are many more all through the blog.

Again, thank you all to those on the call, those listening to the recording and those who just want to be living your life out loud!

Smile at Strangers

One of my favorite things to do is smile. When I am around people, I am always make it a point to smile at them. Of course, this leads to me having long conversations with strangers but I do not mind. I love talking to people and it so makes the time go fast waiting in line.

Make a point this week to pay attention to strangers. You will notice they never look you in the eye. Even if they do, they look away as soon as they can or they just stare, no smile.

Energy is so contagious. You can share your positive energy by smiling. After the week of observing, watch what will happen when you start making eye contact and just flash them a smile. People become nicer to you, people may even smile back! It really changes your whole experience.

Smiling can really make a big difference in other’s lives. You just do not know…

One day when I was waiting in line for my prescriptions at Walgreens, an older man was sitting in a chair by the line. I looked up and caught his eye and smiled. He smiled back and started talking to me. Nothing but small talk but it was nice. When I picked up my order, I started to leave and I stopped to just say good bye. He thanked me for talking to him because he is used to being ignored in his old age. He said it made his day to know their were nice people out there.

All I did was smile and have small talk with him for at the most 2 minutes. Think about what your smile could do for someone…

Dressed Up Insecure

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love craving pumpkins, the fall weather, trick or treating and dressing up. It has been years since I went trick or treating or dressed up. This year was going to be different…

Justin and I decided to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween where my friend Robert let me know EVERYONE dresses up AND you get to trick or treat! I was so excited so I planned it for my birthday week when it would be less crowded but still a lot of fun.

My friend Robert told me I had to dress up because everyone in the park will be dressed up. I had no problem with dressing up and Justin and I decided to be Pirates. We got ready for the evening and headed out to the park. As we were parking I noticed no one was dressed up. I started to get nervous and was afraid we would be the only ones dressed up. It brought me right back to school and not wanting to be picked on by the boys in the playground.

Justin grabbed my hand and reminded me that we are both dressed up and we shouldn’t care. We are here to have fun and that is all that matters. This made me feel better as we boarded the parking tram to the entrance.

All the way from the parking lot to the boat ride to the main entrance we were one of the few dressed up. It wasn’t until we got all the way in the park did I notice EVERYONE was dressed up.

There was a group of friends together all dressed up except for one guy. His friends kept telling him to stop complaining because they told him to dress up and now he just has to get over sticking out. It was funny because I spent the beginning of my night feeling the same way about wearing a costume and now he was feeling the same way about NOT wearing a costume.

I had a great time that night. I got to dress up, I got to go trick or treating and I got to see an amazing firework show and parade all based on Halloween. What would have happened if I let my insecurities get to me and I didn’t get out of the car…
