My Favorite Things 2007

So on the biggest shopping day of the year, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite things from this year. (If Oprah can do it, why can’t I? Maybe it will be something you could like for yourself. )

Here is my 2007 list:

  1. Homedics Indoor Wind Chime - I love the sound of wind chimes and it is so relaxing to have them indoor with you. You simply push the button and you get a natural wind chime sound. It is great to fill in as background noise while reading, blogging or cleaning. I really enjoy this in my house.
  2. Yankee Candle Sun and Sand - The beach is one of my favorite places. This Yankee Candle scent is a great way to bring the beach to your home everyday.
  3. Quotable Cards - This company makes some of the greatest products with wonderful quotes that can inspire and empower you each day. They have a great calendar as well as journals, cards, magnets, etc. Everyone can use a little inspiration in their lives.
  4. Magnetic Poetry Creative Journal- I have started to share my entries I create with my Magnetic Poetry Creative Journal. This is a great way to keep creativity alive in your life.
  5. Life.DOC - This is a great way to simplify your life! This book allows you to gather all your important information into one simple book. You have a reference book to help you in any situation PLUS you can save a electronic version of all the information.
  6. Basin Salt Scrub -  Basin is a great store of bath and beauty products located in Orlando at Downtown Disney. All different types of products but one of my favorite is the Salt Scrub. It is a product that really helps improve your skin texture. There is nothing wrong taking some time out to pamper yourself.
  7. Treo 680 - Today I am celebrating my Treo’s one year anniversary. I purchased it with my friend Nick and I will say, it has helped me so much this year. I may not use it as much as I should but it has greatly helped keep me organized and actually simplify my life.
  8. Book “Boy Meets Boy” - This is a must read book for everyone who believes in discovering yourself, love and friendship. This is one of first teenage novels written about a gay love story. It is the first gay novel for teens which won a Blue Ribbon Award as a must read.
  9. Create Your Own Tumbler by Starbucks - Who doesn’t love their Starbucks but this is a great way to not only save the Earth by reducing waste BUT you can be creative as well. You simply can make your own tumbler with whatever you want. You can have your kids color you a picture. You can add your favorite quote. You could insert pictures of your family, friends and/or pets.
  10. Life Coach - Did you think I wasn’t going to mention this? :) Having a life coach is a great way to start your new year off with a bang and empower you to achieve what you have always been wanting out of life. Yes, I have a life coach too. It is all about making you the you, you have always wanted to be.

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday! I love being scared, I love picking out my costume and I love all the wonderful Halloween events.

Being my favorite, I decorate more for Halloween and participate in as many Halloween activities I can. This year I decided I have always wanted to build a gingerbread house so why not build a Haunted House Gingerbread house?

Yes, that is my very own Haunted Gingerbread House. I had a great time decorating it and it really put me in the Halloween mood.

I wish you all the best to Happy Halloween!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Yes! Today is my birthday! A lot of people dread birthdays but I love them. It is a day to celebrate your life. We never take time to truly celebrate the fact that we were born and we are living our lives. Taking time out to celebrate is great. It helps us to enjoy our hard work in life and allows us to continue doing great things. So I celebrated my birthday with brunch with my family and dinner with friends.

Happy Birthday to me!!

Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Each year Universal, here in Orlando, puts on a HUGE Halloween event called Halloween Horror Nights. They decorate the whole park in Halloween decor. They create themed shows and haunted houses. I really enjoyed my time this year. The house were very scary and I had a great time with my friends.

My favorite haunted house was based on Jason called Camp Blood. I was so surprised how tall Jason was and he really scared me. The bet part is while walking through the house, you come to a room with hanging bags. You have to move them to get through. As you move them one by one, you reach a bag and when you touch it, you realize someone is in it and they start screaming. I screamed so loud!

As most people know, I auditioned with friends to work on a haunted house this year. I had so much fun at the audition with my friends I didn’t even needed to be pick but I was one of the lucky few picked. Unfortunately, my friends were not. As time went on, I was so excited to work there but as time got closer I realized it wasn’t for me. I am happy I was able to get picked but I am better at attending the event than working there. It was a life list item for me to work there but I realized it wasn’t an item I needed anymore.
