About Me
One day many starfish washed up on the ocean shore. A young boy started picking them up and throwing them back into the ocean. An old man saw what he was doing and told him that it was pointless, that there were too many to save, that it wouldn’t make a difference. Throwing another starfish into the sea, the little boy responded, “I made a difference to this one.”
I love this story. This story made me realize my passion in life was to make a difference. I may never change the world but I know I can make a difference in the lives of the people I work with.
I have lived in Orlando, Florida for almost all my life. I attended Rollins College where I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in communication. I have spent most of my career working in the training and development field helping others with professional image, self leadership, communication skills, and setting and achieving personal and professional goals. I take a personal interest in charity events which involve the gay and lesbian community, breast cancer awareness and HIV/AIDS education.
I have worked as a professional coach for most of my career and did not know it. I have always worked with individuals and groups to help them improve their lives. I am a professionally certified coach with ICF after I completed my coaching training with International Coach Academy. My clients love my energetic and enthusiastic personality which helps build the excitement about your life and your achievements. I invest a lot into our coaching relationship and in you. I make the process fun and full of laughter as life should be. As a coach, I listen, empower, and enthuse you to change your life. I am there to celebrate when you achieve each of your goals.
I have been asked to speak at many professional conferences and have facilitated many self development workshops on such topics as: goal setting, achieving more in your life, self-leadership, life lists, Myers Briggs Indictor, gay and lesbian topics, diversity topics, simplifying your life, dealing with difficult people, positive reinforcement, living in the present, building stronger relationships and acknowledgement and celebrating results. I have also written many articles and have been asked to be a guest speaker on radio and television shows. My first book will be out late in 2008.
