October is here and the countdown to my 30th milestone birthday on the 14th has begun. I always like to take time around my birthday to plan how I want my next year to look like. It is time to think about the goals I want to achieve in the next year.

Here are my 30 goals:

  1. Go on my first cruise
  2. Go on the segway tour at EPCOT
  3. Go to Vegas
  4. Complete a 5K and get a medal
  5. Do the Beluga Whale Interaction at Sea World
  6. Complete my first book
  7. Start my “Coaching for a Year” program for my clients
  8. Work on my fear of flying
  9. Go on a haunted ghost tour
  10. Participate in National Novel Writing Month
  11. Go in a shark cage
  12. Go to Not So Scary Mickey’s Halloween Party
  13. Go to Howl O Scream in Tampa
  14. Eat dinner alone at a sit down restaurant for the first time
  15. Go for a walk at least 4 days a week
  16. Keep a gratitude journal
  17. Go on the Sea Aqua tour at EPCOT
  18. Work on one thing a month to simplify my life
  19. Double my current blog subscribers
  20. See Cirque “O” Show
  21. Work on reducing stress in my life with an activity a month
  22. See the Bellagio fountains
  23. See Cirque Zummanity show
  24. See the Fremont Street Experience
  25. Continue to work on eating healthier
  26. Create my next 5 year vision for my life
  27. Visit Justin’s hometown
  28. Break the habit of sleeping with the TV on
  29. Go to NYC for the first time
  30. Go on the Sex and the City Tour

Some of my goals are big and some of my goals are small. It is about completing the dreams that are in my head right now and turning them into reality. I don’t won’t to look back on life with a bunch of would’ve, should’ve, and could’ve. Do you?

What is one goal you want to achieve this year? Let’s celebrate together!

    CONGRATULATIONS!
By writing things down you will be successful! :-)
I am inspired by your list! I might have to borrow some from your list and add them to mine!
I went on a RSVP gay cruise and I was disappointed. It was a Carnival cruise ship and I went alone, but ended up with the GREATEST cabin mate anyone could have asked for.
If you take a cruise I would suggest going with friends. I have heard good things about Atlantis gay cruises. (if you want to take a gay cruise)
    Take Care-
    Brad

    Brad,

Yes by writing them down and sharing them with all of you. I am holding myself accountable. :) It is also a great way for me to be able to share items as I cross them off the list!

I am glad you had a great time on your Carnival Cruise! I am a little nervous but excited at the same time. I have a feeling I am going to get cruise addicted!!

    Michael –

    I respect you a lot.

So, I’m going to challenge you.

You are not dreaming … !

What do I mean by that?

You are setting your goals way too low!!!!

Go back and look at your list. How many items on that list are passive in nature (“See the Cirque ‘O’ Show”, “Go to NYC”) or that you can totally wimp out on without doing something: (“Work on …”).

    Yawn.

How many are interrelated? (Can you go to the Fremont Experience #24 or see Zumanity #23 and not Go to Vegas #3?) That’s cheating!

You should either go back and make the goals more active (Upgrade #29 to “Kiss Justin at New Year’s Eve, Midnight, in Times Square”) … or go back and raise them to something that will provide you with a challenge (since almost anyone can run 5K, how about ‘raise $3000 for charity and get the Mickey shaped medal at the Disneyworld Marathon’ ?). Now THAT is a medal that you will cherish!

Grabbing something easily within your reach does not require stretching.

Nothing worth having or doing was ever obtained easily.

If you want to look back and REALLY feel like you’ve done something, shoot for the stars.

    Trust me.

    Good luck!

    David

P.S. The Atlantis Cruises in Europe are a blast, whether you’re single or coupled. (Can’t speak for the ones out of Florida, though.)

    David,

You are plain evil!! LOL You are right though, these goals are simple for me achieve during the year more for life list experiences and not so much for major goals. When I complete my plan, I will share the major goals for the year with all of you.

I really apreciate at you supporting me and expecting more from me. Just keeps making me better.
