Notes from the Universe

I received another note from the Universe today I wanted to share with you!

There are really only two conditions of the human mind: Very, very happy. Or about to become very, very happy.

Which are you today, Michael?

I’m both,
    The Universe

Great way to think about your weekend, right?

So which one are you today?

Road Block

Think of one thing you want to do in life. It can be anything from something in your career, health, relationships, dating, fun, friendships, etc. Pick something that has meaning to you and you really want to achieve.

Now ask yourself, what is blocking you from taking action right now with this goal? Is it fear, self doubt, money, etc… Create a list.

Isn’t time you move the road block(s)? What plan can you put into place to help move beyond this stuck point and help you achieve your goal? How are you going to support yourself so this road block doesn’t stop you again in the process or again in life?

It is time to live the life you want. You deserve it!

Posted by Michael under Gay Pride, Quotes

Who cares?

When Madonna was interviewed by Ryan SeaCrest she said, “Ryan, You are so gay you don’t even like boys.”

It is funny how guys who seem to be gay are quickly labeled and questioned. As if we really all need to know who they are sleeping with? Do we even care? But we insist on labeling people so we can put them in a box.

I was once at a club and a guy started talking to me. He mentioned at least 10 times how great it was that he was str8 acting. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore and said, “You think you are str8 acting but you are doing a horrible job at it because you are already hitting on a gay guy.”

I have noticed how it is so important that we know if a guy is gay or not. If not, it is as if we do not know how to handle them. It is even worse when guys know who they are but they feel they must “act” a certain way to still be accepted.

Love is love.

Bathroom Fears

I have always been a little pee shy when it comes to using public restrooms. It took me many years to finally start using them during my work day instead of just waiting ALL DAY until I went home.

I do not know why but I am so nervous for people in the restroom to hear me pee. I KNOW. It is so silly and it is not like someone is listening for me to pee so they can point and laugh at me. I just have a weird thing about public restrooms.

Today I used the restroom and then headed to sink to wash my hands as another guy walked in. He looked pretty shocked to see me in there and I thought he must have a bathroom phobia as well.

As I was washing my hands, I was thinking about how it is silly to be afraid to have people hear you pee because that is why you are using the restroom in the first place. I was hoping my hand washing was not making him nervous and I quickly dried them off to leave.

As I started to leave, I giggled to myself because I could hear him peeing and then in a scary little kid voice thought, “I CAN HEAR YOU PEEING!!”

The guy at the urinal quickly turned around and was looking at me in horror. I realized at this exact moment, as my words were echoing through the empty bathroom, that I hadn’t said, “I CAN HEAR YOU PEEING!!” in my head BUT I had actually used my creepy kid voice and said it out loud!

I ran as fast as I could to get out of there and the building. I couldn’t believe I had just freaked a poor guy out in the bathroom by saying, “I CAN HEAR YOU PEEING!!” in a creepy voice. If the guy did have a phobia, I can guarantee he will never use a public restroom again.

Dream BIG

I love to set goals. Come on, I am a life coach so I help people to set goals all the time so I must love them. Sometimes, though, you have to dream big. All your goals do not have to be steps to a major accomplishment. I like to think about something big I would like and just put it out there and see where it takes me.

My BIG dream is to be on Ellen’s TV show. I do not know why I will be on the show but I know I want an invitation to be a guest on the show. Could be a small segment, could be a guest on the couch, it doesn’t matter. It is all about actually being on the show.

Wouldn’t it be fun to turn on Ellen one day and see me there? Could you imagine how I will feel when I accomplish this one day? It is not about if it will happen, it is all about when it will happen. :)

What is a BIG dream you have?

Love From The Universe

As you all know, I am spending the weekend relaxing and getting back to me because life has been a little crazy lately.

I receive daily notes from the Universe which jump start my day each day.

This is the email I receive today:

The only person you really have to make happy, Michael, is you.

Good thing you are so cool!

Punked

I want to write and say I am so sorry for the post you all received this morning. It was not my original post.

I post a day ahead and someone thought it would be funny to edit what I wrote and change the picture.

Again, I am so sorry for everyone receiving it and it has now been removed from the blog.

Reset

200809092206.jpg

Life has been a little crazy for me lately. I noticed things have been spiraling out of control and I am living in chaos.

As you can see from the picture, I haven’t even had the time to get a haircut! Everything else has taken control of my life instead of me.

My friend Karen told me this great story about her being an extra in a photo shoot this week. She was working at the shoot where she stood on a line and when they yelled, “Action!” she was to walk a few steps forward. Then a woman on a megaphone would yell, “RESET!” which meant go back to the starting point.

Karen and I decided it was time for us to reset our lives. We are both taking this weekend to spend it on ourselves.

When life is feeling out of control, it is because you are not taking care of yourself. The best way to regain control is to take a time out to set new goals, create a to do list, or simply to relax and regain perspective on your vision in life.

Stori Telling

200809071348.jpg

This weekend I finished reading Tori Spelling’s book. I really liked it. Of course, as you know, I am a 90210 fan so it was great getting an insight what happened behind the scenes. You also get to learn about her life growing up, her relationships and how she found true love in an unconventional way.

A lot of people may have read the book to her about her relationship with her mother and how their fighting came to be. But, I think the book is really about love and how you realize that you must create the life you want to live against all odds. It is also about the fact that life is not a fairy tale no matter how famous, how rich or how success you are.

As I have mentioned before, I am writing a book and finishing up the details. When you write about your life, you truly think no one would want to read it. But of course, I am reading about people’s lives all the time and I learn so much from them. It always gives me energy again to continue writing so I can share my story.
