Happy Birthday to me!!

Yes! Today is my birthday! A lot of people dread birthdays but I love them. It is a day to celebrate your life. We never take time to truly celebrate the fact that we were born and we are living our lives. Taking time out to celebrate is great. It helps us to enjoy our hard work in life and allows us to continue doing great things. So I celebrated my birthday with brunch with my family and dinner with friends.

Happy Birthday to me!!

Keep it Simple

I am really working on making my life simple. I noticed how I tend to go overboard with ideas and thoughts. That I love to make more work than needs to be.

I noticed this earlier this week when I am helping a friend on a project for work and their leader keeps coming up with more and more work. Yes the ideas are great and they add something more to the project BUT, the event is happening in just days and it is at the time to not do more but close down all that needs to be.

I recognize this behavior because I am the same MBTI type as this person. Being an ENFP, I like to keep opening up for more ideas and more and more. I am excited about all the possibilities and enjoy growing and growing ideas. I have learned though that does ideas become overwhelming and end up not happening.

So I am making this simple. My website is simple, my business cards are simple and my newsletter is simple. My blog, not so simple because I am chatty.:)

I have also applied this to my life. I am cutting down on “stuff” around my house. I am working on my yard because I hate yard work so I am making it simple to maintain so it goes from a task I put off to a task I can handle.

Living Simple doesn’t mean I can not have the new MAC I want. It just means, I do not need to over do, over store, or over plan. Keep it simple.

Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Each year Universal, here in Orlando, puts on a HUGE Halloween event called Halloween Horror Nights. They decorate the whole park in Halloween decor. They create themed shows and haunted houses. I really enjoyed my time this year. The house were very scary and I had a great time with my friends.

My favorite haunted house was based on Jason called Camp Blood. I was so surprised how tall Jason was and he really scared me. The bet part is while walking through the house, you come to a room with hanging bags. You have to move them to get through. As you move them one by one, you reach a bag and when you touch it, you realize someone is in it and they start screaming. I screamed so loud!

As most people know, I auditioned with friends to work on a haunted house this year. I had so much fun at the audition with my friends I didn’t even needed to be pick but I was one of the lucky few picked. Unfortunately, my friends were not. As time went on, I was so excited to work there but as time got closer I realized it wasn’t for me. I am happy I was able to get picked but I am better at attending the event than working there. It was a life list item for me to work there but I realized it wasn’t an item I needed anymore.

Life List

When getting to living my life, I am returning to an old favorite thing I use to do. I use to keep a life list. Things I want to do in my life.

I would list things that just came to my mind that I wanted to do. Movies I wanted to see, plays I wanted to go to, things I wanted to buy, places I wanted to see. It would always be a LONG list but it kept me focused and helped me to see how much I actually was doing in my life.

Sometimes I would realize how unimportant something was or I would see how important something was to me. I would see how I was actually living my life and not just letting it pass me by.

I will be recording my life list items as I complete them on this blog. I want to share with you the celebration when I complete an item on my list.

Live Your Life

Okay so I am starting to see a theme…

I was shopping at one of my favorite stores, American Eagle when I saw their slogan is Live Your Life. I LOVE IT!!

I think it says a lot of what I work with coaching clients on. I help people learn to live their lives. I also want people to find goals, passion, live dreams and be proud of who they are.

Of couse, I need to add this to my own life. I realize I spend a lot of time living through other people. I help them towards goals, living dreams and making the most out of life but I am here not doing the same for me.

I allow fear to get in the way of doing things. I allow my self doubt and insecurities keep me from really enoying my life. I do not know why but I do. It is time for me to make things happen.

I want to look back on my life and say, I lived my life!

So it begins…

I am a big fan of journals and scrapbooks. I love being able to keep track of all the accomplishments I made in a period of time. It allows me to see how much I have done and where I am headed.

Blogs have been around for a long time and I am a huge reader of them. I love being able to share in people’s thoughts and lives. I enjoy seeing their journal and scrapbook all online.

It was time for me to bring my journal and scrapbook online as well. I want to share my life with you. I welcome comments of support and sharing of your own personal stories.

This is only the beginning…
